Ranbhumi Rally for Unity gathers momentum – reached madurankuliya from puttalama
Day 13 of the Ranbhumi Rally for Unity which is carrying the message of National Unity across the country commenced its journey from Puttalam on Wednesday.
The ceremony to flag off the convoy was presided over by Niroshan Perera,the State Minister of Youth Affairs followed by marching bands of several schools in Puttalam – a performance which added colour to the event.w
Another notable event was the presence was the community with African origins living in the Sirambiadi area in Puttalam. They performed at tribal dance at the event.
Leaving Puttalam , the rally reached Madurankuliya on Wednesday morning. The people of Madurankuliya etched their mark on the Ranbhumi Rally for Unity with the contribution of a brick with the engraving followed by its final stop for the day at Arachchikattuwa which was the 39th stop of the Ranbhumi Rally for Unity which is expected to travel across 1500 villages and towns during its tour around the country and will travel to Nattandiya passing Chilaw and Madampe on Thursday.
State Minister of Youth Affairs,Niroshan Perera stated that the need of the country is to bring everyone together and strengthen the country. He further added that the MTV / MBC Media Network works for the development of the country and a good governance system according to the needs of the country , raising awareness among the masses and used the strength of the masses to strengthen the country.
